Community Back to School Bash

by PBUnitedWay

Did you know that there are thousands of children throughout Palm Beach County that start school unprepared? According to the National Retail Federation, the average family needed $549 per child to prepare them for school last year.  During these difficult economic times, many families do not have the means necessary to meet this need. Together, we can help. Together, we can provide children with the tools they need to be confident and successful in school.

With the first day of school approaching (August 22), we are encouraging people throughout the community to step up for the many children in need. Between Monday, July 18 and Friday, July 29, we will be accepting donations on behalf of the Community Back to School Bash. We invite you to help local students throughout Palm Beach County by donating much needed school supplies.  Please drop off new supplies Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm at the Town of Palm Beach United Way office (44 Cocoanut Row, M-201, Palm Beach, FL 33480).

The donated schools supplies will be distributed to more than 11,000 underprivileged children at Community Back to School Bash events held the week prior to school in Belle Glade, Delray Beach, Pahokee and West Palm Beach.
