Town of Palm Beach United Way LIVE UNITED Message Travels the World!

by PBUnitedWay

This summer, we hosted a Traveling T-shirts contest to see how far our message could travel. The idea: Get people talking! Start a conversation and spread the mission of the Town of Palm Beach United Way and what it means to LIVE UNITED.

The rules: While traveling this summer, donors, volunteers and friends were asked to send in photos wearing their LIVE UNITED shirt. The person or group of people pictured wearing their shirt(s) the furthest distance from the Town of Palm Beach United Way office (44 Cocoanut Row, M201, Palm Beach, FL) wins awesome LIVE UNITED prizes!

The contest was initiated and promoted through social media sites such as Facebook and Twitter. Photos came not only from across the country (Louisiana, New York, Montana), but from across the globe (Iraq, Germany, Russia, England)! The winner was Andrew Abramson pictured in Golden Triangle, Laos (9,194.9 miles from the United Way office).

Honorable mentions went to:

  • Closest to Office: Jay Boodheshwar in Santee, NC
  • Most people pictured: Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Mission Trip in Savannah, GA
  • Best Fake: Lee Gordon on the moon

This contest just proves how AMAZING our donors and volunteers are! They represented the Town of Palm Beach around the world and demonstrated what it means to LIVE UNITED. THANK YOU to everyone that participated!
