WEEK 17 OF ACTION: EAT THE RAINBOW
TASTE THE RAINBOW, not Skittles, but the nutritious earthy flavors from Mother Nature. With summer here, colors are more vibrant, so why isn’t our eating?
The benefits of Eating the Rainbow are countless. If color creates happiness, embrace happiness, embrace health, create a happy YOU!
WHY? Well for starters, there are protecting qualities against cancer for every color.
Red, let’s say raspberries or tomatoes, improve heart health and memory. Orange or Yellows such as bell peppers and apricots improve overall immune function, skin health.
We all know that Greens are great, but eating grapes and broccoli will improve eye and oral health and strengthen bones. Blues and Purples like eggplant and berries promote healthy aging, including memory with antioxidants.
Whites and Browns – potatoes, cauliflower, and garlic for example are great for the circulatory system and arterial function. There are many more benefits and guides to Eat in Color, it may just improve your quality of life. Enough said, be happy. Don’t just embrace color, EAT IT!
