WEEK 52 OF ACTION – NATIONAL NUTRITION MONTH
Want to re-evaluate your new year’s resolution of eating healthy? National Nutrition Month is the perfect time to re-focus our health needs and kick-start our goals.
Making healthy lifestyle changes does not have to be overwhelming, but it is important. You can simply start by reducing or eliminating highly processed foods and increasing your fruit, vegetable and water intake. “You are what you eat.” The better you eat the more nutrients you extract and the better you will feel.
Here are some tips to incorporate to your March routine and throughout the year:
- Make a meal plan for the day
- Don’t skip breakfast
- Do the cooking at home
- Drink plenty of water
- Watch your portion sizes
- Be and stay active every day
Staying fit and healthy means you have a better chance for a higher quality of life and perhaps a longer one too. When you are healthy you reduce your risk for heart disease, cancer and diabetes, can look and feel your best and reduce your stress and increase your energy. So this month, let’s focus on eating and feeling better.
