Clinics Can Help has been a Town of Palm Beach United Way partner agency since 2012. They provide surplus medical equipment and supplies to financially needy patients, clinics, programs and schools in Palm beach County.
One program funded by the Town of Palm Beach United Way is The Lending Closet. This program collects and provides surplus durable medical equipment and supplies to clinics, programs and schools in Palm Beach County. This includes hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, shower chairs, nebulizers, oxygen concentrators and other equipment that is necessary for the safe recovery of many individuals.

In Part One of “Where Does My Donation Go,” we learned that 100 of the most remarkable volunteers have been trained and received all the paperwork needed to make funding decisions for the Town of Palm Beach United Way.
We are happy to report that the initial agency visits have been made, thousands of pages of grant applications, budgets, audits and 990’s have been reviewed by the volunteers.

Joyce Reingold has been a volunteer at the Town of Palm Beach United Way for 14 years. Joyce serves on our Allocation Committee and has previously served on our Board of Trustees, Nominating Committee and Business and Professional Committee. We sat down with Joyce to ask her a few questions about volunteering at the Town of Palm Beach United Way and what it means to her.
