Jessica Surovek has been a volunteer at the Town of Palm Beach United Way for 11 years. Jessica serves on our Allocation Committee and our Board of Trustees. We sat down with Jessica to ask her a few questions about volunteering at the Town of Palm Beach United Way and what it means to her.
For the past several years the Town of Palm Beach United Way has had the honor of partnering with the Palm Beach Daily News and Palm Beach Fire Rescue, to collect non-perishable food for those less fortunate in Palm Beach County. Last year because of the generosity of those who live or work in Palm Beach, South Palm Beach and Manalapan we were able to collect 1,900 pounds of food and over $12,000 in donations for partner agencies – Feeding South Florida and The Glades Initiative. This year we will collect food and donations for the Palm Beach County Food Bank and CROS Ministries.
